The Jack and Jill organization commissioned me to do a T-shirt design for competition during the Teen Conference the t-shirt theme: “Drugs, Alcohol, Money…..A New Form of Slavery”…based on the theme I decide to start with a Saul Bass inspired fist in the center then find easily i digestable symbols that represent each word in icon form…
Here is a group of kids wearing the finished product….
In the end…The shirt did get 1st place in the t-shirt competition…I am grateful for the win and thankful that God gives me the talent to be a vessel to help people bring their visions to life through the use of my artistic talent…

This was a personal project for DJ Shanx…One of many to come…good dude to work with by far…he was really wanting to do his own mixtape…He commissioned me to do this one…basically he said he wanted trophies and yellow and gold to commemorate the big win for the Lakers…

After having done the cover for T-Mazz I was then commissioned to do the promotional flyers for the digital album release in Los Angeles. T-Mazz from the bay and Los Angeles’ own Perfecto performed that night…I honored to have my work associated with that event…
On this one, I figured, since it was called scratch paper I would use crumbled pieces of paper in the background and place the content in the foreground using colors from the main artist (T-MAZZ) photo and complementary colors to that…

Wowsers…I gotta thank DJ Shanx for this one…He hit me up about bay area artist T-Mazz and the his digital release of the Scratchpaper album…In order to promote the album DJ Shanx was given the charge to do “The Legend” Mixtape…So I was commissioned by Shanx to do this one…
So…As with most mixtapes..we start with photos…for sake of the blog and not wanting to get too wordy…I am only going to talk about the photo of T-mazz…I had to do some cropping of this photo…and clean up…
Then find other photos and cropping techniques (Thanks Dylan Cole) and then make a nice composition based on tradition methods, specifically perspective and typography and BADDA BOOM BADDA BING….
