Hmph…was out with the family and I saw these classic cars. I had my camera handy so I had to take advantage of the opportunity…

I was honored to shoot Early Bird Circus in Hollywood at the Avalon. Let’s say the Grateful Friday events at Avalon are off the chain…

So, about a week ago I got an invitation to the Syd Mead exhibition at the Forest Lawn Museum in Glendale.

I was excited to see one of my favorite artists in person. However, I didn’t know he was a part-time comedian too. The exhibit was nice. All his pieces had very vivid color and a hyper-realism to them. He spoke of principles in design and how to apply them to designing things for the future. One key word was “Retro-Futurism”.

Only thing was…the venue was kinda creepy…lol

But the 360 view at the top of the hill was awesome. I think I will go back and do some better shooting there.

Good times overall. Let’s see who I will meet next. Also, I think I will email to see if I can take pics at next venue. I slipped up on this opportunity.

Flyer design for Front Room Entertainment event in Oxnard.

I was commissioned to do a logo design for a new company called PhantEye (http://www.phanteye.com) which is short for phantom eye. So, I did a couple of concepts of an eye and here is what I came up with.

Then we decided to get down to some final design concepts.

Then finally…

I was honored to be asked and allowed to shoot artist Gonja Sufi/Sumach (His Twitter : @GONJASUFI) at the Airliner (http://theairlinerla.com/) in Downtown LA for Phanteye (Phanteye.com or @phanteye on twitter), a new website that broadcasts live events via the web.

This dude is super cool. He gave me the vibe of the old wiseman on the hill you go and seek wisdom from. He had a great set. Lots of energy in the room. Off the chain!
