Was commissioned again by DJ Shanx to do the invitation flyer for Ill Camille’s Release Party in LA. Overall, I went with Helvetica Neue as a font and created little embellishments (musical notes, etc.)
On the first draft he wanted to do a basic black and white design with no graphics.
Then on the second version we added the album cover art and sponsor logos.
Here are some of her videos. Great female mc….I really hope she does well…

Here is another new installation from Front Room Entertainment Enterprise’s DJ Shanx and Music Flame’s Chris Jenkins. I was commissioned to do mixtape for the MVP Boys…
On this one they kinda wanted to go with a look similar to Frank Miller’s Sincity with highlights and shadows.
Here is the first version…
The final version…

Client Case File 027: T-MAZZ SCRATCHPAPER Album Release Party Flyer

After having done the cover for T-Mazz I was then commissioned to do the promotional flyers for the digital album release in Los Angeles. T-Mazz from the bay and Los Angeles’ own Perfecto performed that night…I honored to have my work associated with that event…
On this one, I figured, since it was called scratch paper I would use crumbled pieces of paper in the background and place the content in the foreground using colors from the main artist (T-MAZZ) photo and complementary colors to that…

Woah…Woah…Okay so heres another mixtape collaboration with DJ SHANX…we did some major engineering…
Here is the initial rough of the cover…I took the basic shapes and contours of the Dallas auditorium and created a vector logo of it and incorporated it into the logo…and next I tried to recreate the NBA logo and incorporate DJ elements (Headphones, Mics, Speakers, Etc.)
I had to do several comps of the NBA type logo…we went from headphones, speakers, microphones. We had some small problems tryin to read the headphones on the first draft…So we did a couple other versions and finagling decided to stick with a mic version of the NBA symbol…
- Final Design of the Mixtape
On the Second revision we added some more texture by adding the hardwood floor and more background elements…So here is the final result…
